Material is bright, vivid and smooth. All names, numbers and patches are all also in superb condition. Fantastic looking shirt, ideal for a collector or for framing.
In 1990ā91, Caen took place in the first half of Division 1, thanks to the excellent results obtained in Venoix. However, the press revealed in late 1991 that the club was close to bankruptcy. Regional businesses and local government bail out the club, which carries a brilliant 1991ā92 season. Stade Malherbe finished fifth and qualified for its first (and so far only) time for theĀ UEFA Cup.Ā
StĆ©phane PailleĀ scored 15 goals during the season. For the first round ofĀ 1992ā93 UEFA Cup, Caen had to face up toĀ Real Zaragoza. Normans won 3ā2 the 1st leg but lost 2ā0 in Spain. Despite the goals ofĀ Xavier Gravelaine, SM Caen finished season to a relatively disappointing eleventh rank.
