The condition of this vintage football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. The 'Climacool' motif has faded near the lower hem (see photos).
Denmark qualified both for theĀ 2002 World CupĀ andĀ Euro 2004, but despite impressive results in the group stage in both tournaments, especially the 2ā0 win against reigning World Cup winners France in 2002, Denmark did not manage to advance any further, and in both tournaments were clearly defeated with a score of 0ā3 in the first round after the group stage. At the 2002 World Cup, Denmark was defeated by England in the round of 16, and at Euro 2004, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against theĀ Czech Republic.
Euro 2004 will also be remembered for an incident in the group stage match against Italy, where Italy starĀ Francesco TottiĀ was caught on camera spitting onĀ Christian Poulsen, then subsequently the joint elimination of Italy by Denmark andĀ SwedenĀ in theĀ last group stage match, when the two teams drew 2ā2 following a Swedish goal in the 89th minute, making for the exact and famous result that would see the Italians eliminated.
