2018ā19 seasonĀ was the best in club's history.Ā During theĀ 2018ā19 Super League Greece, the major derbies, after decades in Greek football history, were refereed by foreign referees.
On 21 April, PAOK beatĀ LevadiakosĀ 5ā0 and clinched the league title, hosting a memorable celebration.Ā On 5 May, PAOK earned their 26th win in 30 games to complete an undefeated season (26ā4ā0 record).Ā This is arguably the best performance in Greek football history, the previous held byĀ Panathinaikos, who won theĀ 1963ā64 Alpha EthnikiĀ title undefeated, but with a 24ā6ā0 record.Ā PAOK were also the onlyĀ unbeaten European football clubĀ in the national championships held across Europe during the 2018ā2019 season.
On 11 May, PAOK won theĀ Greek CupĀ forĀ third consecutive year, defeatingĀ AEKĀ 1ā0.Ā This was the third consecutive Greek CupĀ finalĀ against the same opponent and it was held for second consecutive year at theĀ Olympic Stadium of AthensĀ (AEK home ground at the time). TheĀ Video assistant refereeĀ (VAR) was used for the first time inĀ Greek footballĀ and in a Greek Cup final. The winning goal came in the 45th minute with an overhead kick ofĀ Chuba Akpom.Ā Dimitris PelkasĀ provided the assist. With this Greek Cup victory, PAOK FC achieved a domesticĀ DoubleĀ for first time in their history.
